After a 16 month battle, Nicole is finally cancer free.  Nicole went home to be with the Lord this afternoon.  May she rest safely in the arms of Jesus.

Our hearts are broken.  We love you so much and our family is grieving with you today.   Thomas said a number of times Nicole is the happiness of the church and she is always smiling.  That's how we will remember her - smiling because she was filled with the love of the Jesus.  Rick, Paul & Cindy, Renee, Paul & Sarah & Danielle - we will continue to lift your names to the Lord individually, and also collectively as you heal together.

Yesterday Jeremy had a sermon on Prisons.  He asked "what prison are you in?".  We thought about the the sin that imprisons us.  We all thought of Nicole, imprisoned by cancer.  In the afternoon, we prayed for her. "So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him." Acts 12:5.  Today, her chains fell off and she was led to the gates of the city, perhaps by the same angel!  She walked through them, now freed!

Like Joe wrote in the previous posting, "if one part (of the body) suffers, every part suffers with it."  We did not sleep well and awoke in prayer.  "weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning"  Psalm 30:5  Thank God for his Holy Scriptures at sad times like this!

Nicole was so full of life.  Her love for God radiated through the good and difficult times.  Now she is able to physically do the things that we couldn't even imagine to do. God give the strength to her close ones for their healing when they cannot go on themselves alone.

To her family and friends:

I never got to meet Nicole... I only know of her through a friend, but I know she was deeply loved and that her smile radiated the love of Christ.  My prayers go out to each and every single person.

This song has been ministering to me for weeks now, so I know it will minister to everyone reading this.... Rest in God's faithful, comforting arms

Lindsey Kane- "Weep with Me" http://www.myspace.com/lindseykane2  or ask me

I was in the room when you were there
And I was on the phone when you found out
I was on the floor when you broke down
I was in the tears you cried
My love is even deeper than this valley
My grace is even deeper than this pain
My heart is even deeper than this fear
I’m here, you can rest in My arms

Weep with Me now
Weep with Me now
Weep with Me now
I’m here, you can rest in My arms

I was in the room as he slept
And I was by his side when he awoke
I was on his mind as he trembled
And I was at the gate when he arrived
He loves it here and I love him here
Even though I know you don’t understand
It’s ok to ask why, feel free to cry
I’m still deeper than the deepest of pain

*hugs*.... God bless.....MNB

Dearest Rick and families;

Nicole has left an everlasting memory for us all, in what we can be for the Lord, by her example. She has already run her race, while you and we all still have tasks to accomplish for the Lord. We will not cease to uphold you now and in the coming difficult days as we remember, wonder and attempt to run our race as well as Nicole has shown it can be run. May you find comfort in Gods' sufficient grace, may He give you peace, hold you in His loving arms and bless you, as He alone knows and can meet your every need.

Much love, Frank Balzer and family

I will always remember the Nicole of this series: http://flickr.com/photos/mercytriumphsjudgment/152519507/in/set-72157594188490125/

She was someone who laughed and loved and struggled and saw beauty in places others see only pain. May the LORD bless and keep your family in this time of grief and tears.

Paul, Cindy, Paul, Renee, and Danielle, (and Families),

I can't even begin to tell you all how much I loved Nicole. I have so many memories of her from my childhood, and for those, I am SO thankful. She was the most amazing girl and woman I have ever met. Throughout my entire life she was such an example to me. She always lived her life pleasing to GOD, with no regrets. She was such a strong woman of Christ. And had such a big beautiful smile that just exuded GOD’s Love! I will so deeply miss her, but find joy in my heart in knowing that she is singing praises right now at Jesus' feet (she had such a beautiful voice)…washing His feet with her long golden blonde hair!!  My husband and I love you all so very much and we pray that GOD may comfort you to ease the pain, and strengthen you to face each day. Her example will be an inspiration to so many, bringing them to (or closer to) Christ!

Rick,

Our hearts go out to you. Justin and I will continue to lift you up in our prayers, as we have been for many months. I pray that GOD gives you comfort in knowing your beautiful wife is with Jesus now-her bridegroom, in heaven.

Much Love~

Stephanie (Emich) & Justin Lamp

Rick and Family,

There are those rare flowers that bloom for just a short time, but are radiant in beauty and fragrant above all others.  Nicole’s life was such, and she brought much joy to her world.  Now she is home, never to leave again, never in pain or sorrow, no more chemo, surgery, infection, needles, etc.  I can only imagine the reunion that we will all have someday in heaven!

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints (Ps 116:15).

We love you, Gary & Vesna
